Remembering Hank »

Musings

My friend Hank from last week is no longer a part of this earthly plane, I’m so sad to say. This week we want to honor his presence here on earth and how much his family loved him and miss him…I know Hank is frolicking in heaven and that makes me tail waggin’ happy! For the family he left behind we are so sad, but he lived a wonderful and full life. A life any dog could be proud of and any human who cared for their dog in this way can also be proud of! I wished all dogs could be treated and loved so well, WOOF! Aloha my friend until we meet again! His mom, Taylor, joins us below to share her sentiments and memories of one special dog by the name of Hank…

A rare side effect of Lyme disease »

A rare side effect of Lyme disease

This is how I want to stay: a non-aggressive, Neo Mastiff who loves everyone, WOOF! I wasn’t always this way bepaws of my former abuse and neglect, but I’m tail waggin’ happy now and want to remain that way, WOOF! This may help some of you out there who may have once sweet-natured dogs becoming aggressive. The other factor to look at is the rabies vaccine. It also can have the effect of sudden aggression in a dog. Here’s a good resource to help you with that one: The Rabies Vaccine for Dogs and Cats: What You Need to Know Now.

This came to us from one of our natural pet health Yahoo groups. Permission to Cross-Post - Please share…

The Truth About Homeopathy: Dispelling the MYTHS that Surround it! »

The Truth About Homeopathy: Dispelling the MYTHS that Surround it!

Okay so this is a VERY long article. But it was obviously warranted in light of the mainstream media and medical attacks on the efficacy of homeopathy. Well we’re gonna continue to use it our home, WOOF! You see any time natural health starts attracting a LOT of people to it, well the mainstream gets nervous and worried…not about YOUR or OUR health but about their pockets. Yep, bepaws if it can’t be patented and sold for billions well it just can’t be good right? Never mind that mainstream is killing THOUSANDS of people per year (iatrogenic death) with PROPERLY prescribed “medicines” (and I use that term VERY lightly). Makes you want to go hmmm.

In this article, I would like to dispel a plethora of myths surrounding homeopathy which have been used to discredit this highly efficacious healing art and science. Homeopaths are given few opportunities in the media to defend their profession, so a lot of misconceptions abound. The medical profession in general presents a fierce and blinkered opposition, yet as Big Pharma is learning of all sorts of amazing cured cases, they are determined to stamp out competition via EU regulation.

Myth No. 1 – Homeopathic medicines cure nothing. Read the rest

A Dog Among Diplomats

Well my friend Randolph - he’s a Labrador Retriever - has done it again with his SECOND Bull Moose Dog Run Mystery novel - A Dog Among Diplomats!!! A dog who writes novels, fancy that, WOOF! Well you should not be surprised bepaws after all you’re reading a blog written by a dog, but I digress. Since Randolph has a tiny bit of trouble with the keyboard as do I, we enlist our human counterparts to do the typing for us. However, Randolph does figure it out in his latest book but it’s always nice to have a human assistant. In Randolph’s case it is J.F. Englert. At any rate Randolph has a NOSE for solving crimes, I’ll surely give him that, WOOF!

In his first book A Dog About Town Randolph takes us on a whodunit journey of Sherlockian suspense, WOOF! And this book won Best Fiction for 2007 Dog Writer’s Association of America Award, so you KNOW this latest book rocks! Let me share some of the suspense with you from the cover as Randolph and Harry pick up the trail of their latest encounter with…murder:

Sun or sunscreen: which is the REAL cancer culprit?

Okay here we go again. We dogs are VERY smart and can figure out how long is too long to be in the sun, but we’re also smart enough to know we NEED the sun, WOOF! We know we need it to NATURALLY, I repeat NATURALLY manufacture Vitamin D in our bodies. So who ever thought that slathering us and yourselves in sunscreen was a good way to protect from the sun? Why not just get out of it for a while? Oh bepaws humans don’t think like that.

Let’s see it goes something like this: Read the rest

More news on the Nutro Pet Food Recall

I hate to be the bearer of yet more bad news - seems that’s all I’ve had this week sigh - but again humans need to know what these foods are doing to us! The companies aren’t being held accountable and certainly aren’t doing their due diligence so I must, WOOF! I’m as relieved as ever that I am not subjected to eating processed foods that have NOTHING whatsoever to do with the nature of us scavenger carnivores. I’m glad my humans don’t buy into the media hype and medical profession peddling of these unnatural foods. And most importantly I’m glad I wasn’t one of the unfortunate dogs who died from any of these pet foods!

Humans did you know that the media often will change the story of a dog bite or mauling from the REAL dog to a pitbull for ratings???? Did ya know that?
